Sarah MacGillivray

Founder and Co-Director

Sarah is originally from Edinburgh (but has lived all over the place!) and attended both Lyceum Youth Theatre and Strangetown before studying at Glasgow University and then at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

She started creating her own work in 2017 with 'Marie', co-written with Phil Bartlett. This was a dark comedy about Mary Queen of Scots (sort of) and went on to win the Bright Spark Award at the Edinburgh Fringe and tour Scotland in collaboration with Perth Theatre.

Other writing credits include: Eavesdropping (Traverse/Thickskin) and various for BBC online platforms including her poem 'Hags'. Acting credits include: Frankenstein (Perth/Belgrade Theatre), Outlander (Sony/Starzz) and Shetland (Silverpoint Pictures).

Sarah is very interested in health and wellness within the creativity industries and believes in the power of creativity for transformation.
